And We're Back...

So this is gonna be a super duper long post! So I apologize now, but I want to get everything so I can remember it all! Sad news note: Our camera somehow erased all the pictures on it, so I have NO pictures from the first of our trip some in between and the end! I seriously want to CRY! So I'll just use pictures of the internet, so I can remember what we saw!

DAY 1
Ephraim -->Boise

And we were off! On our journey up to Boise, we made some unplanned stops. We stopped at Shoshone Falls which are extremely beautiful! Then I wanted to drive by the Twin Falls Temple to see it, and take a picture of it. As we were driving up to it, we noticed protesters, and thought that was strange in the middle of Idaho, we also noticed just crowds and crowds of people. We had NO idea what was going on! So we got out and found out that it was the open house. We were dressed in flip flops and really didn't feel comfortable going in the temple like that, but they reassured us that it was alright! It was absolutely beautiful and really reflected the Idaho area!

DAY 2
Boise --> Astoria, Oregon
This was quite the long drive, but beautiful Scenery! We stayed at a over the top KOA that night, indoor pool, free ice cream, free pancakes, movie night. There was so much to do just in the campground! We did however go down to the beach that night, and see this shipwreck.

DAY 3
Astoria --> Depoe Bay

We started this day off by going to Astoria to go see the house where the Goonies was filmed. Where Alan proceeded to do the famous "Truffle Shuffle" too bad we don't have the picture!! We just traveled about 100 miles down the coast this day, and stopped at a few scenic places such as Haystack Rock, also seen in the Goonies. We stayed that night in a luxious bed & breakfast!

Day 4
Depoe Bay --> Sunset Bay

We woke up that morning and watched the whales that inhabit Depoe Bay all year round. It was amazing!! I could have seriously watched them all day long! We then traveled to Newport where we spent most of our day. Going to the top of a lighthouse, eating the famous Mo's Chowder, and going to the Newport Aquarium.

We then stayed at a beautiful campground at Sunset Bay, and were able to drive up the road and see tons and tons of noisy, stinky Sea Lions!

Day 5
Sunset Bay --> Harris Beach

We had a lot of time this day to explore so we stopped at all the scenic places. Everything was so green and beautiful!! We went over the tallest bridge in Oregon, you don't notice how high it really is, unless you hike down and take a look at it!

Day 6
Harris Beach --> Eureka, California

This day was mostly spent in the Redwood Forrests. And of course we had to drive through a tree. Most all of the pictures of us together, I set a timer on the camera. So has you can imagaine me setting the timer, then running to be in the picture. The one through the tree, Alan made me take like 4 of them, I think he just liked making fun of me, running to the car! We took a coastline dirt road, and had a beautiful picnic there. We also went on a 2 1/2 mile hike through the Redwoods to Trillium Falls, I was so scared we were going to run into a Bear though!

Day 7
Eureka --> San Francisco

We decided to get off the 101 and go the the 1 highway so we could see more of the coast! Wow it was such a windy curvy road! It took us forever, but the views were spectacular!!

Day 8
San Francisco --> Reno, Nevada

That morning we went to Alcatraz and took an audio tour. It was the coolest thing ever. The voices were that of ex-inmates and correctional officers. After touring Alcatraz we then made an unplanned stop to Six Flags in Vallejo, we had found some discount tickets, so thought why not? Alan enjoyed the rides (I am a wuss), and we both enjoyed the Dolphin and Killer Whale shows.

We got to Reno late that night, and hadn't made reservations. And of course, there was a car show going on, so most of the rooms were taking, or extremely high prices! But we finally found one, thank goodness! I was so tired, I probably could have just slept in the car!

Day 9
Reno --> Home Again!

We travelled home on the Loneliest Road ever! It is actually called it, and boy is it quite the lonely road! It was an AWESOME vacation, but we are happy to back to our own bed!

I LOVE weekends!

Last weekend it was Friday night, and we were so bored, no where to go, no hot dates! So at 9:00 at night we decide to go to Wal-mart, where else when were bored! And it's not the greatest idea, cause we end up buying stuff we don't need. Well this time we ended up buying paint for our bathroom! We ended up staying up until 2:00 in the morning, just having a grand ole time and laughing so much!
Then on Saturday we ended up going to Provo, where else? Well actually we rode up to IKEA, my all time favorite store! Can I tell you how much I love that place! I fell in love with these DVD shelves, and am trying to convince Alan to build me some! Too bad he don't have the tools!

I would paint these red. I just love it! After an exhausting trip to IKEA, we went and had dinner at Olive Garden, we over heard a family talking about the Owls game. So we were like what the heck, let's go to a baseball game!

It was a wonderful weekend! Wish I could say the same for this one, but Alan is working ALL weekend! But hey I guess I have time for plenty of crafts!

Eh...

I guess I will blog, even though I have nothing to blog about! No cute kids to blog about, no pets, no vacations! I probably change my background more than I blog! Oops! So I thought I would do one of those tag questionnaire thing-a-ma-jigs! This one is about my wedding day! ohhh..

1. What is the one thing you loved about your wedding?

What is not to love about your wedding? I loved that we got married in the morning had our luncheon, and then had our reception after we got back from our honeymoon! I think it made it so it wasn't such a long day!! As well as we were able to enjoy our reception without being in a hurry to get out of there! :)

2. What is something you might do different?

I think I might have had a band at our reception, and some dancing..

3. What made you nervous about marriage?

Umm..the whole marriage thing made me nervous! YIKES! You mean I have to spend FOREVER with this person! I once told Alan that I could see myself only being happy with him for 5 years! That's coming up soon, only 2 1/2 years to go..j/k! I don't know what I was thinking?!?

4. How long were you engaged?

We were engaged for 2 months..not very long! But after dating for 2 years...

5. Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We spent the first night at our apartment in Cedar City, then took off for San Diego for a few days! It was amazing, and such a GREAT suprise! We went to the Zoo & Sea World! And our hotel was right on the bay! I love San Diego!

Free Fishing Day

I was so stoked about free fishing day on June 7, but we woke up in the morning and it was raining! Luckily it cleared out by afternoon and evening, so we had to take full advantage of FREE FISHING DAY! So we headed out with our one fishing pole, and couple of lures..and ready to catch us dinner! Unfortunately I got skunked, but Alan caught three, (whackin em' an stackin em') he was nice enough to let me reel one in though! What the junk..I am the one who taught him how to fish! jk I like to think I did! But it was such a relaxing evening, and made for an amazing Sunday dinner!

Scaredy Cat

Alan is back on the night shifts, and I HATE being alone in our house at night! So to help me fall asleep I usually sleep in our spare bedroom so I can fall asleep watching the News or Leno. Well so much for that helping me...the other night I turned on the TV to channel 5, then it changes itself to channel 837, so I change it back to 5, and it goes to another channel. It totally creeped me out, so I shut it off, and went downstairs to sleep on the couch. While I am down there the satellite upstairs turns back on, and then like two hours later while I up sitting there wide eyed, it turns off! Eeks..So that was a few days ago, and it hadn't done it since while Alan had been home of course! So I thought I would be brave and try it again. So I turn it to channel 5 and low and behold it changes to 7, so we (the ghost j/k) fight back and forth forever, and then it goes to the guide and pushes on the help button. -k- that right there scared me it was like the "ghost" was trying to say "help" me and it kept doing it!! grrr..So I gave up fighting to watch the news, and turned it off, and it turned back on, so I just it back off, back and forth, I finally just gave up, and left it on! So either I have a "couch potato ghost" or my neighbors like to watch lame television shows!
